Your festival memories deserve more than a drawer of frayed wristbands. Celebrate the weekends that brought you all together, with art that puts you right back in the crowd.

Our Story

It all started, as most good stories do, in a muddy field.

I was living in Brixton, soaking up the incredible festival scene on our doorstep in Brockwell Park. Cross the Tracks 2022 was a special one – Khruangbin headlining in the pouring rain is a memory that's properly burned in. The next day, I found a flyer for the festival and decided to frame it.

Soon, it became a bit of a ritual for us, decorating our shared flat with mementos from our favourite weekends (like a framed Glastonbury newspaper!). But when I started looking for official, high-quality posters from other festivals I’d loved, I hit a wall. The incredible art existed, but only on social media feeds.

When I spoke to festival organisers, the story was always the same. They loved their artwork and knew their community would too, but managing the printing, sales, and global shipping of posters was a logistical nightmare on top of, you know, actually running a festival.

And that’s where the idea for I Was There was born.

We handle the logistics so they can focus on the music, and you can finally get your hands on brilliant, high-quality art that proves you were right there in the thick of it.

How It Works

From Festival Field to Your Front Door. It's as simple as this:

Why we do what we do

Our Values

Championing Independent Festivals

We're here for the small-to-medium festivals. The gems. We make it super easy for them to sell their art, giving them a new way to connect with their community.

Art That Tells A Story

This isn't just decoration. It's a memory, a conversation starter, a nod to a perfect weekend. We believe everyone should be able to own affordable art that actually means something to them.

Supporting Creatives

Behind every great festival poster is a brilliant independent artist. By giving their work a new life on your wall, we help support the grassroots creative scene.

Good For The Planet

We print everything on demand, which means no wasteful overstock. All our paper and wood frames are from sustainable sources. Good art shouldn't cost the earth.

Properly Good Service

We're a small team, and we actually care. Got a question, a problem, or just want to tell us about a mind-blowing set you saw? We're here, we're human, and we're ready to help.
